The Muskegon Museum of Art will offer an online art activity, film list, and African American art highlight on its website on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, starting Jan. 18.
The celebration will include a family activity to do at home, a film list suited for adults, and a highlight about an African American artist represented with artwork in the MMA’s collection. The materials will be available, starting Jan. 18, with a “Virtual MLK Day Celebration” link at www.muskegonartmuseum.org/education. Special MLK Day posts will also appear on the MMA’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages on Jan. 18.
The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 am to 4 pm. Admission is free on Thursdays and on second Saturdays. Social distancing, limited occupancy in public spaces, and enhanced cleaning protocols are in place and masks are required.
