‘Taking Better Pictures’
Summertime is a great time for pictures: sun, sand, surf! However, not all of us have fancy cameras or the experience to get that perfect shot, so give yourself the advantage of learning from a professional photographer.
Emily Baldus, owner of Box of Light Photography, LLC in Muskegon, will explain some of the basics of photography. She will show examples of how to take pictures in different lighting and how to edit photos to create beautiful images. There will be time at the end for questions.
This will be a free, virtual Zoom program with Hackley Library, 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 1.
To register, visit hackleylibrary.org, call 231-722-8011, or stop by the library.

‘The Three Ms’ Virtual Concert is set June 11
This virtual concert from the West Michigan Symphony is set for 7:30 p.m. on June 11.
The concert, with new, revised content, traces the original program from Earth to the heavens: with Mendelssohn’s famous depiction of the West Scottish islands; Paul McCartney’s impressionistic, haunting original work that ascends and cascades; and Mozart’s final and greatest symphony— the majestic “Jupiter.”
The revised program replaces “The Planets.”
Tickets are $30 single, $50 household.
