“Soil, Seeds, and Sunlight! Growing Your Garden: Resources, Traditions, Practices,’ is set for 5:30 to 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 3, at Hackley Public Library.
Join Community Gardeners at HPL to learn the latest on growing productive and beautiful gardens, plus help save our pollinators--butterflies and honeybees!
During the free program we'll learn about: Muskegon Community Gardens -The Four Elements (Air, Soil, Sun, Water); When and What to Grow; and Pests, Weeds, & Solutions. We'll tour HPL's Shakespeare Garden, and more.

Library to Host Spring Book Sale
The Muskegon Area District Library will host a Spring Book Sale on May 5, 6 and 7 at the North Shores Branch.
The Friends Only pre-sale is set 2 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 5.
The sale then runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, May 6, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 7.

Symphony to Host Cellist Sujari Britt on May 13
The West Michigan Symphony will host cellist Sujari Britt at 7:30 p.m., Friday May 13, in the Frauenthal Theater, with Scott Speck as conductor.
Pieces include: Price Dances in the Canebrakes; Saint-Saëns, Cello Concerto no.1; and Still, Symphony No.1, “Afro-American.” Tickets: start at $19; students $10.
