Nominations sought for Golden Gavel Award

The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel is currently accepting nominations for the Fifth Annual Young Lawyers Section Golden Gavel Award, which will be presented on Saturday, May 15 during the MDTC Awards Banquet at the Double Tree Hotel in Bay City.
Candidates need not be a current member of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel. However, each must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan, and serve as defense counsel.
Prior recipients of the award include: Emily M. Ballenberger of Plunkett Cooney and Nicole L. Proulx of Fraser, Trebilcock, Davis & Dunlap PC (2009); Nicholas G. Even of Bowman and Brooke (2008); David C. Anderson of Collins, Einhorn, Farrel & Ulanoff (2007); Jana M. Berger of Foley & Mansfield PLLP (2006); and Lincoln G. Herweyer of Lincoln G. Herweyer PC (2005).

The deadline for nominations is January 11.
Nominees will be asked to submit information for review and further consideration.
