People's Law College examines child custody

The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host the "Taking the Mystery Out of Child Custody" workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. The topics discussed at the workshop will educate attendees on child custody procedures and the law in Michigan. The workshop will also spotlight how the process works for unmarried parents. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask a family law attorney questions about such issues as the types of custody, the best interest of the child and parenting time. This lecture is the second in a series of five public lectures on legal issues. The lecture series is entitled The People's Law College. Members of the public are invite to attend. The People's Law College is sponsored by the Public Services Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA). The workshop is open to the public. There is a $5 registration fee. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. The Oakland County Law Library located at 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac. Attendees are asked to use the West Entrance.
