Ankers named "Leader in the Law"

Norman Ankers, a partner in and co-chair of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP's Litigation Department, has been named one of 25 "Leaders in the Law" for 2010 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. An editorial panel selected the honorees based on criteria that included the ability to achieve success, display of strength of character, passion for the law and the profession, and solving problems while reflecting great integrity. Ankers' national practice is focused on "bet the company" litigation before juries, judges and arbitrators for public and private companies. His complex commercial litigation practice includes business torts, securities law, shareholder and partnership litigation, and class action defense. Ankers has been recognized by several independent resources as one of igan's leading litigators. Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business named Ankers as one of the top lawyers from 2005 to 2009 and in 2009 described him as "an outstanding trial lawyer and known as an expert business and commercial litigator." Best Lawyers in America recognized him from 2005 to 2010 as one of the best Business/Corporate Litigation attorneys and from 2007 to 2010 as one of the best "bet the company" litigators as well. Michigan Super Lawyers from 2007 to 2009 listed Ankers among the top 100 lawyers and in 2009 as one of the top 10. Lawdragon named him one of the top 500 attorneys in the United States in 2006.
