The Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC) to hold annual fund-raiser September 9 The Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC) will host its annual summer fund-raiser at Opus One restaurant in Detroit on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 6-10 p.m. The event will include a silent auction, dinner, and live music, and serves as one of three major fund-raisers held by FLAC each year. Wayne Law International program hosts lecturer Christopher Graveline September 9 The Wayne State University Law School Program for International Legal Studies and the International Law Students Association are pleased to host a lecture by Christopher Graveline, an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan, on Thursday, Sept. 9. Graveline will speak on "Prosecuting International Crimes: the cases of Abu Ghraib and Chuckie Taylor" from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in the Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium. MDTC to host annual open golf tournament September 10 The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) will host its 14th Annual MDTC Open Golf Tournament on Friday, Sept. 10, at the Mystic Creek Golf Club and Banquet Center in Milford. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. and will be played with a modified scramble format. The cost is $155 per person. Cabin rentals are available at Camp Dearborn for all those interested in staying overnight following the outing. Call (313) 943-2350 to make a reservation. Golfers may create their own twosome or foursome, or choose to be paired randomly by MDTC. Payment must be received on or before date of event.
