Trott & Trott partners with NDeX Michigan for coats

Trott & Trott PC, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based law firm serving the mortgage banking industry, joined with NDeX-Michigan (NDeX), a leading provider of technology and processing services for law firms, to support The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit's "Coats for Kids" campaign as their fall charity initiative. Trott & Trott President and Managing Partner David A. Trott made the announcement.

The Salvation Army and WJLB-FM hosted the 28th annual "Coats for Kids" Radiothon on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Forty Trott & Trott and NDeX employees volunteered at the event, giving 160 hours of their time to the project. In addition, employees of both companies donated $3,625 and 255 coats. The two companies matched their employees' donations with a cash gift of $5,000.

"The overwhelming generosity of our employees demonstrates our commitment to the community," said Trott. "We are very honored and humbled to have such charitable individuals working with us, and we want to thank The Salvation Army "Coats for Kids" initiative for offering so many children warmth as we head into the winter season."

The companies launched their yearlong corporate giving program in May with the goal of supporting one charitable cause per season through monthly contributions and volunteering their time.

The organizations have now completed a spring initiative with The American Cancer Society "Relay for Life," a summer initiative with Starfish Family Services, and the fall initiative with The Salvation Army. Starting in December, they will begin collecting toys and raising funds for Toys for Tots.
