Trott & Trott and NDeX Michigan help Toys for Tots

Trott & Trott, P.C., a Farmington Hills-based law firm serving the mortgage banking industry, joined with NDeX Michigan, a leading provider of technology and processing services for law firms, to support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve "Toys for Tots" program as their winter charity initiative.
Trott and NDeX employees were offered casual time in exchange for contributing funds, donating toys and volunteering at the Toys for Tots Farmington warehouse, where the team sorted toys and loaded distribution trucks during the busy holiday season. In total, employees of both companies donated 286 toys, 160 hours of their time and $4,350 to the cause. The companies also matched their employees' donations with a cash gift of $5,000, bringing the total monetary donation to $9,350.
"We are extremely proud and humbled by our employees' willingness to stay involved in our charity initiatives," said Trott President and Managing Partner David A. Trott. "Many people don't realize these organizations need operational funds throughout the entire year, and these donations will help them to prepare for the 2011 holiday season."
The companies launched their yearlong corporate giving program last May with the goal of supporting one charitable cause per season through monthly contributions and volunteer time. The group has now completed the year, which began with a spring initiative supporting The American Cancer Society "Relay for Life," a summer initiative to benefit Starfish Family Services, a fall initiative in support of The Salvation Army's "Coats for Kids" and, finally, their winter initiative with the U.S. Marine Corps "Toys for Tots."
