'Springboard' seminar to focus on the role of in-house counsel
The State Bar of Michigan's Labor and Employment Law Section will host its annual "Springboard" seminar at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at The Reserve at Big Rock Chop House, located at 245 S. Eton St. in Birmingham.
"Springboard" features a series of roundtable discussions followed by an evening of networking and complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. This year the seminar will focus on the role of the in-house counsel. Three 45-minute roundtable sessions will allow participants to engage current and former in-house counsels and experienced mediators on topics including the role of in-house counsel in an employment matter, from initial investigation to litigation, settlement or mediation; how in-house counsel value cases; and how in-house counsel can impede or assist in settlement efforts during mediation.
The cost of the seminar is $50 in advance or $60 at the door. Register online at www.michbar.org/labor/. For additional information on "Springboard," contact Susan Hiser at shiser@vmclaw.com or (248) 540-4987, or Brian Koncius at bkoncius@kbogaslaw.com or (248) 502-5000.
